Corona Virus

It was around mid december 2019 that the first cases of a novel corona virus were reported in China. I had a few hours free this evening and employed a recent dataset that details the number of daily confirmed cases, recovered cases and deaths in each country since 21st Jan 2020. I thought to make an interactive graph that shows how rapid and exponential the growth of this virus has been in the world. In the graph below you are able to navigate and animate the temporal evolution of this virus since 21st Jan 2020. The y axis indicates the number of confirmed cases, the x-axis shows the number of recovered, and the size of each point in the graph implies the percentage of the people died out of the total number of cases. It is mind blowing at least to me that all this has happend in less two months. Hover over the data and click on dates to see more details in regards to each country. The percentage of death directly depends on the number of test kits employed in each country and it is quite hard to estimate but it seems to be in 0.1% to 5%. I am hoping to update this graph daily. So please come back!
